Coös County, NH – May 8, 2026 – North Country Healthcare (NCH) recently updated its Patient Portal, an important tool which allows patients to view their health information and test results, fill out forms, or request appointments and medication refills. This update is a result of patient feedback requesting easier-to-use care tools. Patient portals are web-based platforms that provide flexibility and transparency for patients and empower them to be active participants in their healthcare.
Updates to the NCH Patient Portal include improved accessibility, including screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and alignment with the Americans with Disability Act and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. A calendar feature was added to allow patients to view upcoming appointments.
Some of the updates improve functionality and layout of existing tools within the patient portal. Patients can more easily view and download their health records, including allergies, conditions, immunizations, medical history, and family history. Results and reports, past visits, questionnaires, and documents are now easier to find. Patients can switch between profiles if managing care for others, or they can share access to their portal profiles with approved contacts.
Patients can use the portal to send messages directly to their providers and care teams if they have questions about symptoms or medications, or want to confirm something they discussed at their last appointment. Patient portals offer a convenient way to communicate, but they should not be used for emergencies.
All patients of NCH hospitals have access to the patient portal, no matter if they receive care at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, or Weeks Medical Center. (North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency does not utilize a patient portal.) The patient portal can be used to review test results or medications and fill out forms before visits, request appointments or prescription refills, or to ask non-urgent questions, all without calling a phone call. The portal can be accessed anywhere at anytime by a computer, smartphone, or tablet. If you need help accessing the NCH Patient Portal, contact your provider’s office for assistance.
