AVH Employees Donate to the Berlin Youth Hockey Association

Androscoggin Valley Hospital held a Casual for a Cause Day to benefit the Berlin Youth Hockey Association (BYHA). The Berlin Youth Hockey Program is comprised of a Learn to Skate Program starting as early as the age of 3, and travel teams from Mites through Midgets which include children ages 5 to 19. There are approximately 70 to 80 players in the program. With a great coaching staff and huge group of valuable volunteers, Berlin Youth Hockey teaches the kids the fundamentals of hockey, teamwork, discipline, and commitment, all while enjoying the game they love to play. Casual for a Cause Days, held every pay-week Friday, provide an opportunity for AVH employees to make a donation to a charity and wear slightly more casual clothing for the day. Since the beginning of 2017, Casual for a Cause Days have raised more than $4,700 for charitable causes.
