AVH Employees Donate to Dr. Charanjit Veeramalla’s Hospital in India

Androscoggin Valley Hospital held a Casual for a Cause Day to benefit Bhannu Health Center, a proposed critical access hospital in India. Dr. Charanjit Veeramalla, a Hospitalist at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, is founding Bhannu in a district in India where he grew up. Bhannu is being designed in this devastatingly, medically underserved district to cater to the primary and secondary healthcare needs of a population of approximately 200,000 people. To learn more about Bhannu, please visit www.bhc.bhannu.org.

Casual for a Cause Days, held every pay-week Friday, provide an opportunity for AVH employees to make a donation to a charity and wear slightly more casual clothing for the day. Since the beginning of the year, Casual for a Cause Days have raised more than $4,600 for charitable causes.

Androscoggin Valley Hospital is proud to help local and state non-profit organizations, and is a proud partner of North Country Healthcare. Visit AVH on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest.
